This preamble, the terms of this contract, and its annexes are considered an integral part of it and are to be read together with it.

The Lessee undertakes to pay the rent specified in this contract.

The Lessee undertakes to pay the expenses detailed in the main contract's annex and its attachments.

The Lessee undertakes and pledges to observe the following:
a. Not to transport goods whose transport violates the laws of the state.
b. Not to transport passengers or goods for a fee.
c. Not to use the car to tow another car or vehicle.
d. Not to enter any car race, whether organized or individual.
e. Not to allow any other person, with or without his knowledge, to drive the vehicle.
f. Not to drive the car while drunk or under the influence of alcohol, medical drugs, or narcotics of any kind.
g. Not to violate applicable laws and regulations, and not to leave the car parked in a place where parking is not permitted.

Upon expiry of the rental period, the Lessee undertakes to personally return the car to the Lessor's office in the same condition in which it was received, complete with all its accessories. Otherwise the car shall be considered stolen, unless the rental period has been extended in writing with the Lessor's approval.

The Lessor is not responsible for paying the cost of fuel for the car throughout the rental period.

The Lessor is not responsible for bearing any loss and/or paying the cost of any breakdown, damage, or expenses that may be incurred by the Lessee as a result of any sudden malfunction occurring in the rented car.

All traffic violations committed by the Lessee are his sole responsibility, and the Lessor must be notified of them immediately.

In the event of a collision and/or the car sustaining damage — whether or not the Lessee was at fault, or whether the damage (accident) resulted from an unknown or other party — the Lessee undertakes to take the following steps:
a) Notify the Lessor's office immediately.
b) Obtain an accident report from the competent security authorities.
c) Arrange to guard the car and/or have it towed to the Lessor's garage.
d) Attend the rental company's office and fill out the accident form.
e) If the Lessee is found to have caused the accident, he shall pay an amount of (560) JOD as the accident file-opening fee determined by the insurance company, in addition to the daily rental fee for the entire period the car remains under repair. In the event of a total loss, he shall pay 20% of the car's insured value per the insurance policy, in addition to tax and one full month's rent under the rental contract, plus taxes and transport fees.
f) Not to waive any right that would result in the Lessor having to pay any amount and/or cause the Lessor to lose its right of recourse against a third party.

The Lessee undertakes to pay the daily rental fee for each day the car remains under repair due to damage or breakdown resulting from:
a) The Lessee's failure to comply with clauses (4) and (9) of this contract.
b) Misuse of the car for any reason.
c) Burning out the engine or transmission due to improper use.
d) Violating road transport law or applicable traffic regulations.

In the event the Lessee breaches clauses (4) and (9) above and/or any clause of this contract, he shall be liable to the Lessor for the following:
a) Compensating the Lessor for all damage to the car at the value specified in Annex (1.2), or at the value determined by the Lessor.
b) Paying the amount of the car's diminished value as determined by the car's insurance policy or by a certified expert.
c) Paying the daily rental fee as damages for each day the car remains under repair, or paying 20% of the car's insured value per the insurance policy in the event of total loss, in addition to paying one full month's rent as a result of the car being out of service.

The Lessee undertakes to pay all financial obligations arising from this contract and its annexes.

The Lessor has the right to pursue legal action against the Lessee to claim any right arising from this contract without the need to exchange formal legal notices, and the courts of Amman shall be the sole competent authority for filing lawsuits between the two parties.

The Arabic text of this contract and its annexes shall be the legally binding text to be followed before all authorities.

The Lessee shall pay the full value of the car, based on its market price at the time of the incident, if he lends or rents it out — intentionally or unintentionally — to any other person or party without written authorization from the Lessor's office, or adds his name as an additional second driver, against a fee to be determined by the Lessor.

Friday is an official holiday for the office.

I acknowledge that I have read all the terms, numbering (17) including this clause, that I agree to them, and that I have signed the trust bond and the contract annex. I authorize the Lessor to fill out the promissory note on my behalf for the amount determined by the Lessor as a result of my breach of any clause of this contract or its annexes. I signed while fully legally competent, without coercion, pressure, or unfair advantage, and under my own responsibility.
