Jerash sits about 48 km north of Amman and is one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the world outside Italy. Walk through the Arch of Hadrian, the colonnaded Oval Plaza, and the long Cardo — once the city's main thoroughfare.
You'll also visit the Temple of Artemis with its towering columns, and the South Theatre, which still hosts events today. Because the tour is only half a day, it can easily be combined with a visit to Ajloun Castle on the same day if you'd like.
